Marina dei Presìdi – Porto Ercole

The starting point to explore the Tuscan Arcipelago’s National Park

About the Marina

The Argentario is the highest promontory along the Tuscan coast. It is an ancient calcareous island now connected to the mainland via two narrow sandbars, which forms the stunning beaches of Giannella and Feniglia, and by a road from the city of Orbetello that crosses an enchanting Lagoon, currently a WWF nature reserve, with impressive bird colonies. It is located in the coast side of the Maremma, the south region of Tuscany famous for its incomparable food and wine, in the province of Grosseto, 150km from Rome. It’s the starting point to explore the Tuscan Arcipelago’s National Park, formed by the uncontaminated island of Giannutri and the island of Giglio, the latter offering fascinating itineraries. The mountain is surrounded by beautiful rocky coastline, dotted with small bays bathed by an uncontaminated sea ranging from emerald green to crystal turquoise. Mount Argentario has 2 urban area: Porto Santo Stefano, the biggest and busier village located in the northern side of the Promontory, starting point of the ferries to Giglio island, and Porto Ercole, a sleepy, yet elegant fisherman village that comes alive in the summer, when is populated by VIP from Italy and abroad. Marina dei Presidi is the most central floating dock of Porto Ercole’s port, right in the middle of a promenade with many shops and cafes d’elite, offering berth up to 24m LOA with all services, including laundry, boat care, concierge. In the area there are also a fuel station and various shipyards.
